WILD: Women in Leadership Development
Saturday, November 1, 2008
Duke University - 10am-5pm

The Women In Leadership Development (WILD) Conference takes place each fall and is designed to give women students the opportunity to explore and strengthen their leadership skills while celebrating the unique abilities they have as women. We want to foster a supportive environment in which to explore the challenges women leaders encounter and to teach knowledge, skills and wisdom that participants will find helpful in reaching their full potential. Take time to learn, time to reflect, time to energize, time to be WILD!

This conference is planned and coordinated by representatives from nine colleges and universities in the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill area: Duke University, Durham Tech, NC Central, NC State, Meredith College, Peace College, St. Augustine’s College, UNC-Chapel Hill, and Wake Tech.

This year’s theme, “Making Connections,” focuses on how to make the critical connections necessary to becoming a leader. Broad topics we hope to cover include connecting to yourself (identifying the type of leader you are), connecting with others (diversity and relationship building), and connecting to the community (service).
