Carolina Leadership Development

Through interactive workshops, Leadership Foundations seeks to assist participants with organizational development through the building of skills related to leadership and management. Led by Peer Educators, participants will engage in discussion, activities, and reflection that enhance organizational effectiveness. The workshop topics are selected from the needs of the student organizations and from the strengths and interests of the peer educators.

Also, if an organization needs a workshop led on a specific topic, Leadership Foundations can provide a Consultant to cater specifically to that group and to its needs. Please contact leadershipfoundations@unc.edu for more information.

Invitation to participate

All Leadership Foundations workshops are open to any member of the Carolina community. To reserve your space, please email leadership-foundations@unc.edu. Walk-ins are also welcome, but seats fill quickly - - it is advised that you sign up in advance, especially if you are planning to bring a group of people from your student organization.

Peer Educators

All Leadership Foundations workshops are planned and facilitated by Peer Educators. The premise behind a Peer Education Team is that students influence each other greatly and that information shared by “like individuals” is highly valued at Carolina. This team of student leaders is dedicated to providing an active learning environment and the very best resources available. They represent a wide variety of interests, backgrounds, and levels of involvement in leadership development. One thing they have in common, however, is an interest in helping YOU achieve greatness in your leadership development.
