Get Involved! Off-Campus Leadership & Service Opportunities

Americorps, the domestic branch of the Peace Corps, provides opportunities all over the country to combine leadership and service while earning money for your future education.

The School of Government, located on UNC-Chapel Hill's campus, can assist with identifying state or local government agencies suitable for leadership development volunteer or internship opportunities.

Peace Corps: the toughest job you'll ever love. Work for two years overseas in a social or public service capacity.

Public Allies, an Americorps program based in eight cities across the country, identifies a diversity of talented young adults and creates opportunities for them to practice leadership and strengthen their communities in a new alliance with people from neighborhoods, non-profits, business and government.

Teach for America identifies a national corps of outstanding and diverse recent college graduates, of all academic majors, who commit two years to teach in under-resourced urban and rural public schools across the United States.
