Carolina Leadership Development

Our Courses

Students are welcome to take two academic courses taught by the staff of Carolina Leadership Development. Both courses support our philosophy that leadership is both an academic and co-curricular pursuit.

Dynamics of Effective Leadership is a one-credit, pass-fail introduction to leadership theory and issues that are pertinent to the development of strong, effective, personal leadership skills.

The Advanced Leadership Development Seminar is a three-credit, pass-fail course that delves deeper into the history of leadership education and leadership theory.

NC Fellows

In addition to the two courses we offer, several other departments at the University offer leadership courses. We encourage students to look at courses within: Afro-American Studies, Business, City and Regional Planning, Communication Studies, Information and Library Science, Linguistics, Naval Science, Public Administration, Recreation and Leisure Studies, and Sociology.
