| Our Courses: Advanced Leadership Development Seminar
Course Abstract The overriding concept behind this course is to complicate one’s thinking about leadership and foster a sense of responsibility attendant to power. The academic nature of the course requires a fuller understand of the various systems of thinking that surround leadership, rather than to impose a definition of the term ‘leadership’ on class participants. A recent review of the course sought to address issues of elitism in the nature of its membership; as a matter of course, therefore, one of the underlying philosophies of the course is that elitism and leadership are antithetical to each other. An advanced course, by nature and definition, requires attention to depth, rather than merely breadth, as it relates to the motivations of the leaders who enroll in the course and to the specific topics that are covered by it. Further, it has been designed to resemble a graduate-level seminar in style, presentation, and responsibility on the part of participants. Sample Topics
