Carolina Leadership Development

Leadership Foundations is a program that has two different levels of participants. We have opportunities for students who are interested in being Peer Educators and opportunities for students who want to attend workshops and meetings held by the Peer Educators.

Through peer-to-peer education, Leadership Foundations focuses on organizational and personal development in the context of student organizations. The program provides a variety of options for participants including one-on-one coaching, organizational consulting and bi-weekly workshops.

Through discussions, activities, workshops and reflection, Leadership Foundations helps both Peer Educators and event attendees work towards self-awareness, skill building, effective communication and more.

The workshop topics are selected from the needs of the student organizations and the strengths and interests of the peer educators. Some topics might include delegation skills, event planning, active listening, effective communication and empowerment.
